If David's suggestion doesn't work, try sliding your mouse pointer across
the lower edge of the Tool Bar and see if you get a twin headed arrow, then
drag downwards. This is assuming that the Address Bar is hiding behind the
Tool Bar. If it is, then the Address Bar will pop out.

and look for "Restore Missing Toolbars, Menubars and Address Bar in Windows
Explorer and Internet Explorer" under Win XP Utilities. Use the Site
Search -- on the Lt. -- if you have difficulty.
