disappearing Address Bar in Tool Bar

My question is this: My address bar in IE is always
disappearing. When this happens, I right click on a blank
spot and unlock my tool bar. I then put a check mark next
to Address, to put my address bar in the tool bar. I then
go back and lock my tool bar.

Even after locking the tool bar, the next time I use IE
6.0, I have to go through the above process again,
because the address bar is missing.

I would appreciate any help.
