Hi all,
My computer was attacked a couple of days ago. As the result of this attack
I can not see files and directories in a root folder of drive C:. E.g.
pointing Windows Explorer to C:\ shows no files or foldres as well as running
the "dir" command in the command shell. The files are actually there. It
means that I can see the contents of c:\windows for example.
I have all the options for viewing the hidden and system files set, so I'm
able to see them except for the contents of the C: root folder.
OS: WinXP Pro SP2.
Any ideas?

use 'system restore' start, programs, accessories, system tools, system
restore ....and go back to a date when the computer was working good....good
luck...

What exactly do you mean by "attacked"? What antivirus do you have
installed (name and version). What firewall are you using? Please post
back with a better description of your system, the "attack" and how you
know you were attacked, and any troubleshooting you've already done.
