disabling write-behind caching on hard drive

When I go to device manager,hard drive, policies, the
choice to disable the write-behind caching is greyed
out. How can I get this choice to show up? I am the
administrator on the system.

A: Most likely your hardware, the hard drive itself or the disk
controller in the motherboard is incapable of having this feature
disabled/enabled dynamically - XP has detected this and has responded
appropriately.
