Disabling the ability to read/write to USB device???

It is highly desirable that USB drives are not used in
certain locations (such as financial institutions) - In
general this is a very difficult policy to enforce as USB
is so handy you don't want to generally disable it.

Is it possible to disable the ability to read and/or write
to a USB device using the inherent security settings (e.g
domain or group policy) for different user groups ?

Cheers

I believe so, but I am not a Group Policy guru.

Generally speaking, Group Policy gurus do not hang out in an XP hardware
newsgroup. They hang out here:

microsoft.public.windows.group_policy
