I use Win XP Home Edition IE 6.0.2800.1106 SP1

I recently intalled MS Windows automtatic update on their web site. Is
there any way to unistall it? I want to make the choice whether to download
certain updates or not. Thank you.

Best regards from Japan, Sachi

Check your Windows Control Panel
(Start > Settings > Control Panel)
If youcan see Automatic Update, you can change settings here.
If you cannot see that chage Control Panel display to Classic View.

Thank you

Could you show us the reason for this, in more detail?

I am asking this because what are downloaded and installed via
autoupdate are for the most part vital and critical in the light
of security, so it is not a good manner/behavior in general to
turn it off other than in a corporate environment where the
sysadmin there should handle that kind of thing...

Just a little question. ;-)
