Disabling DCOM (closing port 135)

I cannot disable DCOM by drilling down through Component
Services>Computers>MyComputer and right clicking on the
icon to get to properties. I suspect it has something to
do with my computer icon having a red arrow pointing down
in a circle on the lower right corner of the icon. Can
anyone tell me what this icon means or how to disable
DCOM someother way? And also does microsoft have an icon
guide somewhere that explains what all these silly icons
mean? Really would appreciate the help!

Download DCOMbobulator from http://grc.com/dcom it will allow you to turn
DCOM off and on at will.
