Disabling a contacts folder

We recently migrated away from an exchange server, but because we still
receive email through the old server we have to maintain the connections for
now.

Is there any way to tell Outlook 2003 -not- to use any of the contacts in my
old folder on the box? I want to use ONLY the contacts in the .pst?

Sure, you can open the address book, select tools | options, and specify
which books should be used for name resolution.

you can also right click on a contact folder and go to the outlook address
book tab to enable/disable a folder on the fly.
