Bob S.

I need help. I want to run a Gigafast 802.11b wireless
USB adapter without WZC. I shut it off in the network
properties but everytime I reboot WZC is turned on taking
control from the Gigafast third party networking software.
Also in Network Connections/Properties, I do not have a
Wireless Networks tab. Why. How do I get it. I'm running
XP Home.

Set its state to disabled using the Services snap-in (Start, Run,
SERVICES.MSC) to prevent it from re-starting when you reboot.

You need to disable it.
To do that, press on the Start button on the buttom left of your screen,
select Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services

Search for the service named: Wireless Configuration (display name). The
service name is WZCSVC.
Right click and select Properties.
Click on the Stop button (if the service is started), then changed its
startup type to Disabled.
That's it.
I hope your program doesn't do the opposite procedure (I don't believe it
does).
