Hi all experts,

Is there any method to disable all the network drive mapping function? Like
(1) execute "NET USE" command in the command prompt, (2) right click my
computer's properties, map network drive or (3) typing the UNC path in the
explorer address path.

Please advice.
Thanks in advance.

You could change the PC's IP address so that it is unable
to reach any other PC. This function is restricted to
administrators.

If the other machines have NTFS partitions, apply
appropriatly restrictive NTFS permissions.

If they have FAT partitionss, apply appropriately
restrictive share permissions.

The same applies to USB drives: Create NTFS partitions,
then apply appropriate permissions.

In the restricitve pc, user may remote map their share using "net use"
command or gui by providing their domain\username & password, then they can
save files into the usb device. This is the point i'm concerning.

Please advice.

Hi Pegasus

Eventually, i found the solution to make the usb storage read only,
therefore can prevent leakage of data.

Thanks
