Disable the history option in ie

I want to stop the history menu item in internet explorer from being
clicked - how can I do this using a registry edit?

Also, can I stop the shortcut from being pressed?

Close, but no cigar. Thanks, but I really want to see the History menu item
under View > Explorer Bar to be greyed out and the shortcut to get to it
eradicated too...that was a good resource though, thanks : )
