Disable the auto complete of the IE address bar

I want to disable the auto complete of the IE address bar ( when you
start to type a URL its auto complete for the ioptional urls you typed
before).
I want to disable it or even better, to delete some of the entries
there (programeticly)
Any idea how to do that?

You need to check your clock or time zone setting.

IE>tools>internet options>advanced>scroll to ' use inline auto-complete for
web addresses'

Hi Alto,
I think this is the setting that you are referring to:
Tools/internet options/advanced
Under the Browse section, check/uncheck the "Use in-line
autocomplete"
Let me know if it helps !

tools, internet options, general tab, temp. internet
files, clear files, history, clear history. That should
get rid of most unwanted addresses in the address bar
dropdown menu, I don't know of any way to selectively
eliminate the addresses, maybe someone else does...
good luck...
