Disable Something

Recently, while typing an email message, my unskilled
fingers somehow managed to type a shortcut that opened
something. That something now takes its place everyday
next to the clock on the lower right of my screen.

When I point at it, it reads English and has EN on the
icon that displays.

I cannot make it go away. When I right click on it there
is an option to close the languar bar, but that doesn't do
anything.

Can someone tell me how to make this stop displaying?

Sounds like you told the language toolbar for MS Office to
load at Startup. There are a variety of ways to deal with
it, but I'd take a look at the Help in one of the Office
applications before doing anything drastic. If you don't
have any luck with it, send me a note.
