Disable save Function

I have several users with access to a template - they need the abiliity to
change portions of the template, but I want to prevent them from
inadvertently saving over the template with any changes. Is there any way
that I can remove the save functionality for this template?

If you actually save it as a template, they can't save over the original..
that or make the file read only..
