Nah Andre's right AMDX2 - it's a deleting dialog box and not a UAC prompt
)

They said for moving, copying etc and that is UAC i think. I just saw online
about when deleting files, the UAC makes you click 7 different windows to do
it. so i think it's really UAC. Allthough the trash needs to be don't warn
me to delete just delete to help get rid of one of those windows.

i dont know fact tho, but to me it sounded like uac.

I think you are right AMDX2, I have UAC disabled, so I can't confirm. But in
this eWeek report, it has been confirmed as an issue by Microsoft:
"Based on beta testing feedback, Microsoft also expects to remove the
consent prompt for administrators when deleting icons on the public desktop,
he said."

http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,1972070,00.asp

If you want to disable UAC, here is the instruction to do so:

Click Start > All Programs > Run > type in MSCONFIG > Tools (tab) > scroll
down select Disable UAC > click Launch, restart your system for the changes
to take effect.

Hello people,

YES it Was the UAC !! (i hate that thing ! click 7times for
moving,renaming,deleting is a little to much !!)

"Based on beta testing feedback, Microsoft also expects to remove the
consent prompt for administrators when deleting icons on the public desktop,
he said."

This is not enough !! "when deleting icons on the PUBLIC DESKTOP"
it must everywhere !! why admins accounts should have to 7click for a simple
action ?

Also to get rid of UAC, I finally know where it's at now. Users control
panel. I opened up my own user icon and in there was disable uac. I knew I
did it this way, but totally forgot where lol.

The msconfig is probably easy to do too.

You are an official Beta tester aren't you? How are you going to find bugs
in UAC if you don't leave it enabled? Millions of people are going to have
to deal with UAC when Vista ships. I think it's only fair that you share
their pain, if only to absorb some of it. :)

Chris, you're joking right? lol, UAC, to me that is the worst thing MS have
ever done in any of their Oses that has affected me. UAC should be like a
non issue, meaning it should never have even existed in my opinion. If it
must then it should be done waaaaay less intrusive and bugging you. like no
boxes unless totally necessary changes need it.
