See link on disabling the service, however if you are disabling it because of
annoying pop up messages from the internet then you really need a firewall to
protect your computer. If you have a firewall and are getting those messages, then it
may be misconfigured. You can go to http://scan.sygatetech.com/ to check your basic
firewall vulnerability from untrusted networks. There are free firewalls available
