Disable INtel 82845G chip

Does anybody know how to disable the on-board INtel 82845G Chipset? I
upgraded to a Nvidia 5500 and works great. But, I can't disable the onboard.

I have a Sony Vaio PCV- RS220. I can't find a BIOS setting allowing for it
to be disabled and Windows RC@ 5600 keeps trying to install a driver for it.
It's driving me crazy.

I tried the suggestions posted in this thread
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/co...aa4b75d&cat=&lang=en&cr=US&sloc=en-us&m=1&p=1
but it didn't work for me.

Please help this is getting old!!!!

Doe you Bios have the option to not make the onboard chip your primary
display chip? If yes have you made that change and just your 5500 card since
it should not matter if the drivers are loaded if you are using the 5500 has
your primary chip.

No, I cant find any settings in my BIOS that would allow me to do this. I
have checked under PCI slot settings and found nothing.

I dont see either card/chipset under BIOS.
