You can hide and disable the floppy for access from Windows Explorer or My
Computer, but that is not foolproof and there are other ways to access
including through the command prompt.You can look for the settings under
user configuration/administrative templates/Windows components/Windows
explorer. Be sure to read the explaination of what the setting does.
Floplock may be another alternative, though I have never tried it
