Disable filter after search?

Hallo,

I have made a custom seacrh form. When showing the result the data is
filtered. Does anybody have a good suggestion how to disable this filter
(without the users knowledge) so you can go work on another record (not part
of the search result).

Now a user first has to leave the form and re enter to go on working....

Any suggestion where to put this code? Should be more or less invisable to a
user so that he/she can go on working in the database without clicking a
button....
