Recently I installed Windows Mendia Player 10 (under WinXP).
After this procedure I noticed that the WMPlayer starts whenever I boot the computer.
Is there a way to disable to autostart of WMPlayer ?

The best way to change a program's behavior is from within the program
itself. Most programs, including WMP, will have an "Options" or
"Preferences" menu on the toolbar. Look for it and disable any Start
With Windows options.

If a program was written poorly and does not have the ability to change
its behavior from an Options menu, then go to Start>Run and type
(without quotes) "msconfig". Look on the Startup tab and find the
culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK out. You don't
need to restart immediately, but when you do you'll get a dialog box
saying you've used the System Configuration Utility. Just mark the box
that says, "don't bother me about this again".

Hi Frank, See if it is under, Start, Programs, Startup... if it's there,
right click it and remove it.
Also check if it has made it's way to run under Start, Run, type in
Msconfig, go to Startup tab and see if its there also, if yes then
uncheck it . Hope it helps.

Try going to the Run prompt in the start menu and typing msconfig and click
on ok
then go to the tab called startup.
see if wmplayer.exe is in the list of items set to start. If it is uncheck
the box and apply the change.

Sorry if this doesn't help but it is all I could think of.

Go to start/run, type: MSCONFIG , and see the StartUp tab for a checkbox for
that.
