Just got a new Vaio Laptop, XP Pro SP2.
The system is defaulting to an active desktop, where all icons are a single
click link to where-ever.
I don't like change, and would prefer to have to double click on the desktop
and leave the single clicks to the launch bar.
I have tried to find where on the display properties to turn this off, and
have been unsuccessful.
How do I turn off these links and go back to an "old-fashioned" desktop???
Thanks,
Golfnutz

Control panel>Folder Options

You will find the option there.
