DirectX Update for November 2008

I downloaded the DirectX web installer from Microsoft and ran it but
an error occurred saying it was unable to access the internet. An hour
of troubleshooting later I found that it was not my computer nor my
ISP but the dxwebsetup.exe file. Using an old copy I had from the
August 2008 update worked fine. So if the same happens to you try
an older copy.

Same here. No go on the Web installer for November 2008. What's up? Where did you get the older copy of the web installer?

I got my older copy from the August 2008 update. You always keep backups too, right?
