Directx diagnostic

S

STC

I have made this post before but cant seem to find it for
any replies so i left with the only option of reposting.
As i said in my last post, when i test my "direct3d" in
the directx diagnostic it comes up with a message about
me pressing a key for each of the three tests. So i am
unable to run the tests....how do i fix this???
Thankyou in advance...

I found your post. It had one response, from Quaoar:

Wild guesses: monitor refresh rate is set to something other than
default and the synchonization of the mouse cursor is wrong; cap lock,
insert, or numlock are toggled. Very wild guesses. KB is no help.

For ease in searching for posts, and other things, you may want to use
Outlook Express to read your MS newsgroups. It is very efficient, a pleasure
to use:

OE MVP Tom Koch's excellent page on using the OE newsreader to access the
newsgroups:
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/resources.htm#setupmsnews

Tom's "Inside Outlook Express" which is considered the OE "bible"

An OE6-specific NG:

Hi,

Go to Start/Run/dxdiag/Display/Test Direct3D/Click Yes/Click Ok and let it
run its course. If you end it, you will receive a message: You cancelled
the test by pressing a key. If so, try it again. Wait a few seconds and it
will ask you about the spinning cube, etc. Carry on from there.

If for whatever reason you can't use your keyboard, when the options come
about for choosing, use the Alt key.

I'm not understanding your problem. Could you explain a little more? You could even attach a
screenshot of the error. Thanks.
