When I run 'dxdiag' then click on display, I cannot
enable the 'direct draw'. A week ago is was enabled. The
only thing I did to cause the problem was to go to
Microsoft Update and download the various patches.

Trying to play a DVD movie now get 'cannot create overlay'

How can I enable the 'directdraw'. I have not changed
any hardware. I have reinstalled the latest Video
Driver, and I have downloaded Directx9 and installed it
again.

Can anybody help???

Look for updates for your DVD software at the respective manufacturer's
website(s).
