DirectX 9.0b install error

When I try to install Direct X 9.0b it tells me that it
has not passed "Windows Logo Testing" for compatibilty.
why is this? and how do I fix it?

It might be a corrupt download. You should try
downloading a fresh copy of the redistributable DirectX9b.
