I am running internet explored 6.0 to access the web.
Internet explorer takes me to cnn.com, which I've chosen.
Previously there was a line at the top of the screen
allowing me to type a web address. Now that line is gone,
and I'm forced to use the search facility of cnn.com to
search the web, rather than having the ability to go
direct to a web page of my choosing. What am I doing
wrong? I've spent hours trying to figure it out. HELP !!

Right-click on a blank area of toolbar: Is Address Bar checked? If not,
uncheck Lock Toolbar, check Address Bar and then re-check Lock Toolbar.

If it's already checked, "grab" the bottom edge of the toolbar with your
mouse, push it all the way up and then drag it all the way down.
