Obviously you "uninstalled some files" you *did* need. Since we don't
know what you did or anything about your computer, try a System Restore
to before you did whatever it was you did.

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
Restore my computer to an earlier time

Thank you for your response, and yes i realize that i have done something
really silly, I have tried to restore but it wont let me, i even tried the
restore disc that i have for the pc but that wont work, all it is doing when
i put the disc in is bringing up a window, saying would i like to see a slide
show, and other very similar things,
so I cant even get the restore or restore disc to work this is driving me mad

That doesn't sound like a restore disk. Normally with a restore disk
(which you use when you are returning the computer to factory
condition) you boot with the disk and follow directions. You don't get
a slide show.

What kind of computer do you have? Brand name? Otherwise, you may want
to take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your
local version of BigStoreUSA). I'm sorry, but it is very difficult to
know what you've done or the state your computer is in now from your
posts. Maybe having someone knowledgeable take a look would be best.

If the machine is still under warranty, contact Compaq tech support.
Otherwise, do as I previously suggested and take the machine to a local
professional. I don't say this to hurt your feelings, but trying to
troubleshoot this in a newsgroup just isn't going to work for you.
