Direct Deployment on the PDA (VS.NET <---> WinCE) IP Problems

Hi,

this Question might have been asked a lot before (I would assume) but as it
seems I didn't have the correct keywords for the search-function of this
board to find appropriate results. That's why I have to ask this question
here now:

I have a TCP/IP-application (see here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroup...&tid=c6e2df1a-d70d-428c-9b50-1bc1ec23f6e8&p=1)
which connects a WinCE PDA to a WinXP computer. But when I deploy the
application over ActiveSync directly on the PDA I have an IP problem: My
computer is 172.17.xx.xx while the PDA gets the IP address 192.168.55.101 -
and this IP address cannot be changed as I got to know. But of course I can't
change my LAN adapter in the PC to a new IP address as well. So now I have
two devices in different IP address ranges (172.17.xx.xx, 192.168.xx.xx)
which means the two devices can't communicate.

I also cannot access the "server-side ActiveSync address" (192.168.55.100)
from the PC. (which means: when I do a "Ping 192.168.55.100" on the pc, it
doesn't find the IP address since the ActiveSync address seems to be virtual
and only visible from the PDA)

What can I do?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!
