Is it possible to connect to computer through their NICs and have it act as
if it were "networked." My brother has two computers, needs to access the
internet though his Sat. conn. (Direcway).

You will have to use a crossover cable to connect them. Check Best Buy,
Circuit City, Radio Shack, or similar.
