I understand that it is possible to connect two PC's together using
Direct Cable Connect in Win 9x , including W2K ,

Is this also possble between XP and a Win 95 ?

Hello, if your files are not too big you may want to consider Fastlynx 3.3
(www.sewelldev.com). You can use this fully functional demo for files of 10
MB per session. I used it succesfully for transfers from W95 to XP Home and
vice versa. It works with both serial and parallel null modem cable.

Hi Admiral,

Hi,

I had to transfer a lot of files from my Win95 PC to my then-new Dell XP
Home
machine that I bought a couple of years ago.

I used a cable -- that I had bought a few years ago to perform the same task
to transfer files from my old 486 to the then-new Win95 computer -- that
connects the parallel ports of each computer.

I then followed the step-by-step instructions from the site shown, below,
and
was successful in bringing over probably more than 2 GB worth of data.
