hi. can anyone tell me how to install a device driver
while ignoring the digital signing? i'm trying to install
my saitek x36 joystick in win xp pro but the problem is
that when i try to install via add hardware it won't let
me because it says the drivers aren't digitally signed. I
really need this to work. thanks.

Hi Wayne -

Control Panel | System | Hardware | Driver Signing button. Make your
selection according to your needs from the three choices.

it won't let me ignore it. every time i press the ok
button, it defaults back to warn. i'm set as the admin so
i don't know why it won't let me change it.

Try installing it through Control Panel - Game Controllers - set it up from
the list or custom setup.

Hi

Right clik My Computer
Click the Hardware tab
In the Device Manager area, click the Driver Signing button
Select "Ignor - Install the software anyway and don't ask for my approval
In the Administrator option area, check the box " Make this option the system default then click OK
Click th OK button again and then reboot

After reboot, connect the hardware to the serial port, power on the hardware. If PnP not work, use the Add new hardware wizard and select install the driver from CD/floppy disk

Hope it helps

Pete
