Digital Signature problems.

I installed a Digital Signature from Verisign on a pc at work and this was working fine for about two months. Now all of a sudden when the user tries to write a new email or if they receive an email from somone which is digitally signed, they receive the following error message

"Your digital ID cannot be found by the underlying security system."

Can anyone please tell me how to rectify this?

I forgot to add that I'm using Windows XP Pro with all updates installed and Outlook 2003.

Have they changed the Windows password recently, if yes what happens if they
change the Password back, also if they did change the Password did they
change willingly or was it a forced change

Yes they did change the password, we change our passwords every month. Does this have something to do with it?

Yes I think this is an issue, does it work if they change the Password back
to what it was when they configured the Digital Signature.
