Digital Image Suite 2006: No Snyc Available?

I just purchased MS Digital Image Suite 2006. Thus far I'm very pleased...

Something baffles me however..

Under Tools/Device Sync Options
Enable and automate picturte and video syncing

This entire section is greyed out without the option to enable any devices.

This must be me...

What am I missing here?
How can I enable devices?

These options should enable once a Portable Media Center is plugged in and
turned on. If they are not enabling, it's possible the PMC needs to be in a
certain mode to enable communication with the PC. What model of PMC do you
have?
