Hi Guys,

Once we have issued the digital certicate for MS Access 2000, any
modification to the query need the Digital Certificate to be re-assign.
Is there way so that the Digital Certificate is auto assigned to any
Access query changes.

Thanks for you help guys.

Hi.

Access 2000 is incompatible with digital certificates. You must use Access
2003 in order to digitally sign the file.

It's not magic. If the digitally signed Access 2003 database file is
changed, then the digital signature becomes invalid. If you don't want it
to become invalid when you make changes to your file, then don't bother
digitally signing the file, and don't bother setting the Macro Security
level higher than Low. If this option is acceptable, then you'll have to
digitally sign your file again after you make your changes, every time you
make changes.

Read '69 Camaro in this thread and then consider.

You have to understand what a digital certificate is saying. The message to
the user when a digital certified file is opened is essentially "This file
has not been changed and has been attested as safe to run by the certificate
issuing authority", it's then up to the user to decide if they trust whoever
issued the certificate.

If you change the file then it's not the same file as the certificate was
issued for and therefore, not surprisingly, the certificate is no longer
valid.
