When I plug in my digital camera nothing happens, If i go to my computer the
camera is listed, but when I ask it to download pictures it says the scanner
or cmaera is busy, the outoplay comes up with not programs on it to download
pictures with, also in my computer If i right click on the cmaera and click
on properites it will not show me the properties for the camera. I have
downloaded the autoplay fix in windows with no results, and i have updated
computer in windows update any help would be greatly appreciated I am stumped.

Usually, most digital camera requires drivers or sync software
provided by the unit's manufacturer. As long as the manufacturer
still has a web site, you should contact them for these drivers/
softwares.

If the camera uses a memory card, then a few dollars will get you a
cardreader. Put the card in and it becomes a driveletter, perhaps E: which
you can copy files to and from. Far better way of working.

Why better? Simply a more expensive alternative.

Not completely. If the digital camera does not have any XP drivers,
the the card reader would be "cheaper" than replacing the camera.

Agreed, but surely all digital cameras these days have WINXP drivers. If
not I would be surprised they would be 'saleable'. Seems a stretch to think
anyone would buy a digital camera without the means to retrieve the images
included.
