Dificulty in copy and paste when items is filtered in excel 2007

I use the sort and filter function regularly on worksheets with line items in
excess off 400 000. 1. Once filtered, to copy and paste the filtered area
pose to be a problem. I highlight the selection as normally done in excel
2003, by highlighting the row. When I "ctrl"+"c" the selection is copied as a
block and the complete sheet is copied in stead of the selected filtered
portion. I have to hold down "crtl" and select each line individualy. What do
I do wrong? 2. Once highlighted I have to open a new sheet in the workbook in
order to copy the selected line items. Only to copy and paste again from the
new sheet in order to get the information on a seperate workbook. Is there
any other way?

I got the same problem when copying cells from one sheet to another
information is missing or you get the cells that aren't visible in the new
sheet, but I've found out that if you copy the cells ( ctrl + c) and then
copy them into the area selected (new sheet) ( ctrl+v) and then undo (ctrl +
z) and once again (ctrl + c) Usually this works.

My thinking is that you go to Edit\Go To \ Special (box at bottom
left), check the Visible Cells Only and then right click, copy and
paste.
Try it and see.
