Difficulty Getting into Discussion Groups

Is anyone else having a little difficulty getting into these discussion
groups? Several times in the last two days, the site has not been available
when I have tried. It makes one wonder if it's due to all the definition
download problems Microsoft is causing, doesn't it? Are you folks posting
too many negative comments for MS to cope with? I hope so - maybe it will
get some action on the problems with Defender. <Grin>

I've seen this myself. You might consider following the groups via NNTP
rather than on the web.

The credentials you need are listed at the top of this page:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/newsgroups/default.mspx

This article talks about how to configure Outlook Express, for example.

NNTP is probably on the way out, but it is far more efficient of resources
than using a web-based browser.
