different screens

I suspect the answer to my question has to do with hardware being used - but
I thought I would ask just in case...
Is there a way to be able to see a different screen on my notebook that is
hooked up to a projector. So on my notebook, I can look a some notes, for
example, but the audience sees my presentation on the big screen.

Yes, with the computer setup for "extended desktop" and PowerPoint setup to
use the "Presenter View." Presenter's University just posted a write-up
