Different page numbers

Amadeus

Here is something a little different. I'm trying to add page numbers to a
paper I've written. However, it is very specific how it is to be paginated.
The title page has no number on it. The next several pages are in roman
numerals. Then it starts with regular numeration starting with 1. Anyone
have an idea on how I am to do this?

Thank you in advance!

Insert a Next Page Section Break after the first page and at the point where
you want to switch from roman numerals to regular numerals and unlink the
footers in the each section from that in the previous section.

Then in the section where you want the roman numerals to appear, insert the
page number field and via the Page Number Format, set the format of the page
numbers to i, ii, iii. If you want this page to be numbered i, set the
starting number in the control to the right of Start at: in the Page
numbering section of the dialog.

Use this dialog again to format the page numbers in the section of the
document where you want the regular numbering, and once again, either set
the page number to begin at 1 or Continue from previous section, as
required.
