Hi,

we are using Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003.
I want to know the difference between the Cache Modus and the synchronization.
I do not need synchronization when i use the cache modus. ist that correct?

Thanks,

Oliver

What is your understanding of synchronization? Cached Mode initially creates
an offline copy of your Exchange mailbox and then uses Send/Receive to keep
that local copy synchronized with the server copy. Changes made on either
side (client or server) are being replicated.

For off-line use you mean? No, just enable Cached Mode and you can work
offline as well. Optionally; in the Send/Receive settings you can specify
which folders you want to have available offline and synch with the server.
