difference between comma delimited and tabbed delimited?

Does anybody know what is the difference between tabbed delimited and comma
delimited files?

I am trying to export the address book to import it into Courier email
program.

"delimited" means "separated by." A comma-delimited file contains data where the different fields are separated by commas. In a tab-delimited file, the data fields are separated by tab characters.

 

[Diane Poremsky [MVP]]

tab delimited means it has tabs at the end of each field to identify the end
of the field. Comma means a comma marks the end of fields:

Mary, Smith, 127 Main, Somewhere, NY, 12222
Mary Smith 127 Main Somewhere NY 12222
