Did SP2 Fix Broken XP FAX?

J

John Smith

I never really got XP Pro's FAX program to work, I could receive the first
fax, but on subsequent faxes the computer would never pick up, for that
matter it was amazing if it did pick up. I believe my hardware is
compatible and that its installed correctly.

Does anyone know if SP2 fixed the fax problems? Thanks, Mike

Carey, do you know of anyone that has the FAX component working without
problems? I thought it was broken? Am I mistaken? Thanks for your quick
reply, Mike

I use the fax component and it has worked fine before
and after service pack installations. Perhaps if you
uninstall it, then reinstall it, your problem with be
resolved. Make sure you have a good fax modem
card installed with the latest drivers which you can
download from your modem manufacturer's support
web site.
