In order to troubleshoot internet connectivity problem on my Windows XP Home
Edition PC, I got into the command window and executed: "netsh int ip reset
log". Now I cannot connect to the internet either with dial-up or though a
DSL modem connected to the USB port.
I also cannot "ping" either with a name (ping www.yahoo.com) or a numeric
address. However, I can "ping localhost" for what it's worth.
I tried other netsh commands: "netsh winsock reset catalog" and "netsh
winsock reset" to no avail. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my DSL
modem's software -- no help.
Should I uninstall and reinstall my dial-up networking?
Please help me get my internet back.
Thanks.
