I ran the Vista one time upgrade that came with my computer. Now I am not
very computer savy, so I have no idea what i acutaly did. BUt when I signed
on, all my programs were gone! WHAT??? Well i had somebody get back most of
my programs but a few months later...(now) I realize I do not have my Excel
or Word and I am trying to get them back. I know the person who get my
programs last time went to help and support, but where do I go from here? I
want to do it ON MY OWN! PLLLEEEAAASEEE HELP!!!

You should have CD/DVD with Excel and Word, probably Microsoft Office.
That is unless the computer manufacturer installed a trial version.
If that is the case, you may not have the media and you will need to
purchase them if you want them.

Sounds like you did an 'Anytime Upgrade' of Windows Vista but choose Clean
install which wiped out your programs. Did your computer come with disk for
Microsoft Office which includes Microsoft Word and Excel. Help and Support
in Windows Vista only contains information about Windows and how to use it.

Ask your friend where your Office installation disk is.

yes, that is exactly what it was. I have the disk, but I am afraid to mess
anything else up

Like Jupiter says, its possibly a trial version of Office. You should look
through your collection of bundled software that came with your Computer to
see if there are any products called Microsoft Office. Once you find that
disk, insert it and follow the instructions for installation, the product
key should be located somewhere on a Certificate of authenticity.
