did microsoft ever release a tool for sasser like they did blaster...

hey got a small problem with sasser we have a few machines
out and about on the network with the virus on but its
proving a little dificult to track down (these are
laptops)

i noticed some time last year during the blaster crisis
microsoft released a tool that will scan the machines on
the network to see if they are patched for the blaster
virus

is there a tool or something similar that will help me?

Adam,

Not 100% whether MS did a tool, I know digial Eye did one
which would scan a IP range so could be used on a local
network, have a look at the following link:

we have a firewall but teachers are able to connect there
laptops which the school supply to there internet/network
at home where it all begins
