Did I ruin my printheads?

I removed clogged printheads and rinsed them under a faucet water
filter.
I then unclogged them with a syringe, alternating push-pull, pushing
through and sucking out the blockage, unclogging all nozzles.
After reinstalling, they will print a few inches of text and then the
printer abruptly powers completely off.
After a few minutes unplugged, the printer will power back up and I
can print another inch or so.
Did I ruin my printheads by rinsing them under a faucet, possibly
frying wet circuits after reinstalling?
This is on an Epson CX5200.
Thanks!

It definately sounds like you got the electronics wet. Since it did
power up and work for a bit and did power back up, I would say you may
not have permanent damage. But I would definately remove the head and
allow the circuitboard to dry before attempting to use the printer
again.

you most certainly have ruined them, you should only use pure distilled
water (de-ionised) from the local garage, just squirting some in the tanks
leaving overnight and it works like magic better that flush fluid, shame its
too late
