Dial up

My system has an Windows 2000 advance server installed.
I have a dial up internet connection.

Problem:-
1. When I try to access Microsoft web site in IE 6.0 With sercurity patch
Installed and write http://www.microsoft.com
its asks username,Passowrd and Domain name to me.

2. When i try to access this link
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...4D-A301-4DD8-830C-809D66BD6265&DisplayLang=en
I get an error and if I try to access any thing related to download like the
link mentioned below I get an similar error
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/

If I try to access http://msdn.microsoft.com I am able to view the web page
..
Please any body can tell me what is the problem I am facing.

Try adding those sites to your trusted Web Content Zone [internet
options/tools/security - trusted sites] and set the security level to
default or no higher than medium for the trusted Web Content Zone. ---
