Dial up users can't get to anything

Jeremy

This is my first time setting up RAS. Users can
succesfully authenticate and connect to the RAS server.
THey get an IP address that I specified (default gateway
is the same), DNS server is correct, Subnet MASK is not
correct but I think I read that RAS does its own subnet
mask thing where it doesn't display the correct subnet
mask on the client? ANyway, the clients can't get to the
internet and can't connect to VPN. I can ping DNS server,
RAS server's live IP, but nothing else. Any help here is
greatly appreciated as it is clear I am missing something.
Thanks

Hi Jeremy, when you say they "can't connect to VPN" do you mean they can't
get to any computers on the network? If so, a couple of things you will want
to make sure. Be sure "Enable IP routing" is enabled on the server's RAS
connection properties. If it isn't, you will only have access to the RAS
server. Also, if you plan to browse the network, make sure you have some
form of name resolution for netbios names, such as a WINS server or the use
of lmhost files. Hope this helps.
