I have two problems: Windows Home XP is constantly
trying to connect me to the internet. I can't get any work
done. Windows has also taken over all of my video. I can
change the file association for one file at a time, but it
changes right back to Windows Player.

How do I get rid of the associations for all these
files?

You might of picked up a virus or some spyware. A online
scanner you could try www.trendmicro.com. If you do not
have firewall, and anti-virus running on your machine. It
is greatly recommonded that you install. Ati-virus:
www.grisoft.com. Firewall: www.sysgate.com; or at least
turn on the WinXP firewall. . both have free versions.

Also download and run ad-aware
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download), and/or
spybot. Make sure you update signature files after
installing.
