dial up and Vista

My computer keeps trying to dial up a connection by default instead of using
my cable connection... how do I change this ? I know I can disable the dial
up adapter, but why did it do it in the first place? Shuldn't the cable
connex be the first choice?

Open IE. Click Tools>Internet Options>Connections. Make sure Never dial a
connection is checked.

I have this same issue, with Vista Ultimate, and the IE connections tab does
not remember the "Never dial a connection" selection.

Make sure you don't use temp profile. To check this, go to start>Computer,
right click select properties>Advanced system settings>Advanced>User
Profile.

Make sure you don't use temp profile. To check this, go to start>Computer,
right click select properties>Advanced system settings>Advanced>User
Profile.
